{Event Recap} Black Girls Do: Garden in the City!
The sun was shining bright on Saturday, June 17th, as attendees participated in Black Girls Do: Garden in the City! Guests jumped right in and got their hands dirty with a Gardening 101 course instructed by Soilful City. Guests learned how to compost soil, how to properly plant seeds, and build garden beds.
Attendees then participated in a healthy food demo conducted by V Soul. Guests learned the benefits of plant-based diets d that it's ok to get creative with your healthy meal choices!
Guests left with SMART meal prep journals, gift bags and tips and resources to improve their eating and lifestyle!
